Poetry (words)

Anchored

Anchored to you in these moments of calm. Blissful serenity before the storm hits. Before focus is lost to the depths of this torrent.

Anchored to you, in the rise and fall. The breathlessness captures my attention, but attention subsides so soon when I am lost with you.

I sense you and I’m alive, heightened beyond any fantasy. What makes me so real is what you make me feel when I’m anchored to you.

Every word, every thought, spoken or assumed becomes entangled in this connection when I’m anchored to you.
