Poetry (words)

Bones.

What lies beneath the surface of all the words we’ve said. Moments suspended it time inside our heads.

Does this eventually become just another part of my past. Time well spent, but not built to last.

When these hands become still and the words fade away. Will the images of you still captivate my day.

Amongst the embers of this fire where the heat used to be. Still entwined in my soul lie the bones of you and me.
