Jumping puddles

I watch him sink beneath the evening shadows at the waters edge he comes to life. There’s no gracefulness to match this. Night swimmer glistening in the fading light.

Unaware of the defining moments as the ripples he creates embrace my eyes. How every cascading droplet is the moisture in my summer skies.

He’s the poet without words, every stroke another curse. He fills my nights with moonlight and passion He turns my universe.

I’d jump oceans just to watch him, I’d move the earth to hear his sighs. I’m at my best, my happiest here. Night swimming by his side.

Silence

What changed in me? What turned me into this mellow thoughtful person I’ve become?  I can only see you. The influence that filled my thoughts with what could be. How being completely at ease with the silence is the kindness we owe the soul.

Every drama every catastrophe continues without us, the earth still spins relentlessly. We rarely change the manmade glitches of this world, but the difference we make by changing the way we think. How every branch reaches for the light when spring arrives, but come Autumn the dormant rest begins.

After everything my dreams remain simple. A landscape, the leaf covered soil underfoot. A failing signal and a hopeful heart.
